Seminary Guild
Lord, what will you have me do?
Donation Day
Donation Day is sponsored by the Seminary Guild and the LWML and takes place October 9, 2012. CTS President, Dr. Lawrence R. Rast Jr., will be our keynote speaker this year. For registration info, please contact Guild President Elfrieda Spencer at espsalm63@gmail or Guild Advisor Rev. Thomas Zimmerman, at 260-452-2152.
Since its beginning on the Springfield campus in the early 1900s, Donation Day has been an annual tradition at Concordia Theological Seminary. In recent years, LWML Districts and Societies have joined with the Seminary Guild to gather needed items for the seminary’s Food and Clothing Co-op. The LWML Districts have funded Mission Grants to support the Food Co-op with resources to purchase fruits, vegetables and other perishables.
Dry and canned food items, toilet paper, paper towels, personal hygiene items, health care products and disposable diapers are always welcome. There is always a need for new or clean used clothing in good repair for all members of the family. Additionally, monetary donations are used to purchase food at low cost through local food banks.
All Donation Day events will take place on the Concordia Theological Seminary campus, located at 6600 North Clinton Street, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Please plan to drop off all your Donation Day items at the Food and Clothing Co-op. Workers will be available to assist you with this process.
