EXEGETICAL COURSES
NOTES:
Certain courses make reference to note numbers at the end of the course description. Below is the table of notes for the
Exegetical Theology courses.
- All courses are for three credits unless otherwise stated.
- Special reading courses in Hebrew and Greek, and special Hebrew and Greek
electives with a minimum of five (5) students, may be arranged upon request with the
approval of the instructor and the Academic Dean.
- Required Old Testament courses are in Hebrew. Special or M.A. students without
Hebrew may be admitted to some courses with the written consent of the instructor.
- All M.Div. students are required to take both Hebrew I and Hebrew II. These courses
are three-(3)-credit-hour courses but they meet for four (4) hours each week. They are
prerequisites for all Old Testament exegetical courses.
- A waiver exam is available from the Registrar’s Office.
- Prerequisite to all New Testament exegetical courses.
- Prerequisite to all exegetical courses.
- Prerequisite: 12 quarter hours in Greek, or equivalent.
- EXT 118 John is an alternate to EXT 117 Luke.
- EXT 213 Galatians is an alternate to EXT 212 Romans.
- Limited to Seminary IV students.
- A student may register for this course a total of three times.
- Six quarter hours of Elementary Greek may be used towards the Alternate Route program.
- Restricted to Master of Arts degree students.
