Pro Bono Ecclesia - Exegetical
E X E G E T I C A L   T H E O L O G Y

The right proclamation of Holy Scripture demands a confession that Jesus Christ is the key, or hermeneutic, of all parts of the Bible. This being said it is therefore the duty of the Exegetical Department at Concordia Theological Seminary to offer not only suggestions concerning proper biblical commentaries but also to provide sound confessional and hermeneutical writing. Many of these writings can be found on Walther Library’s homepage under ‘Pro Bono Ecclesia’, For the Good of the Church; however, since ‘Pro Bono Ecclesia’ is growing exponentially, the Exegetical Department has provided links to important articles that help describe a proper Lutheran hermeneutic where Christ is the key to the Scriptures.
