Dr. Schroeder is originally from Austin, Texas. He has been at the Seminary since 1982. Dr. Schroeder received an A.A. degree from St. John's College in Winfield, a B.A. from Concordia University in Riverforest, Illinois, an M.Ed. in administration from Wayne State University, an M.Div. degree from Concordia Theological Seminary, and a Ph.D. in Marriage and Family Counseling from The Chicago Theological Seminary. Dr. Schroeder and his wife Ginny have two sons, David and Nathan. Before coming to the Seminary, he served at a Lutheran high school as a teacher, athletic director, and assistant principal.
