Advanced Standing
Scholars holding an S.T.M. or a D.Min. degree from Concordia Theological Seminary and scholars holding a Th.M. or its equivalent in missiology
or a related field from another institution may petition the Ph.D. in Missiology Supervisor for up to 15 hours (appropriate to missiological studies at
the doctoral level) from this degree to be awarded toward the Ph.D. in Missiology degree. This credit adjustment will take place after the student has
successfully completed the preliminary examinations.
Financial Aid
Tuition assistance is available for promising Ph.D. in Missiology students during residency on the basis of full-time and half-time research
fellowships. The required research and writing is designated to fit into the Ph.D. in Missiology student's area of interest and concentration. A
Ph.D. in Missiology International Student Aid Fund has also been established to provide assistance to international students.

S.T.M. in Missiology
Students in the Doctor of Philosophy in Missiology program who have completed at least 57 hours of Ph.D. in Missiology course work, including all of the Ph.D.
in Missiology core requirements, are eligible to receive an S.T.M. in Missiology. Doctor of Philosophy in Missiology students who desire this degree should apply
through the Office of Graduate Studies. The application will be considered by the Committee for the Doctor of Philosophy in Missiology program together with the
Supervisor of the Ph.D. in Missiology program and the Dean of Graduate Studies. Upon the positive recommendation of the Supervisor, the
Committee and the Dean, the faculty of Concordia Theological Seminary shall vote to grant the degree, or not to grant the degree.
