  1. My computer is broken. Can you fix it?

Due to staffing limitations, Information Technology is unable to support students' personal computers, except for configuring them for network access.

Our student technicians are sometimes willing to do freelance tech work, as their schedules allow. If you'd like to contact one of our student techs about your problem, please come to the information technology office during office hours. The techs will contact you and negotiate terms.

There are many large and small shops in the area that can troubleshoot and repair your computer. Prices will vary, depending on the shop and the kind of work. Check the yellow pages.

  2. Can I forward my CTS email to another email address?

Yes! You must send a request using your CTS email account to networkmanager@ctsfw.edu. In your message, list the email address you would like to have your CTS email forwarded. Please allow 2 business days for your request to be completed.

Note: There have been some issues with spam filters tagging forwarded email as spam/junk/bulk mail. If you do not see mail in your normal Inbox, please check your service's junk email folder. IT will not troubleshoot email delivery problems once the email has left the CTS email server.

If you would like to submit a new FAQ, please email infotech@ctsfw.edu
