Network Services: A CTS network and e-mail account, as well as personal space to save your work on the system are created for you once you enroll as a student. Click here for first time login instructions. You can get access to the Internet and your e-mail in the following locations:

  • The Lilly Computer Lab (W-11)
  • The Library
  • The Internet Cafe (tunnel between Wyneken and Loehe)
  • The D. Miss Lab (L-8)
  • Your resident hall room either by the ethernet connection or by your phone line.

Wireless Internet: Wireless access is available in all public spaces (classrooms, library, Commons). Your laptop must be configured by IT with anti-virus software and a private key to access the wireless network. Your wireless adapter must support WPA-PSK network authentication. Click here for the computer setup form.

E-Mail: Your email can be accessed from both on campus, using the campus network, as well as off campus, provided you have an ISP (Internet Service Provider) like AOL, ATT WorldNet, or NetZero. The E-Mail Access Form can be picked up in the Information Technology Office (W-14) to help you, or you may read the instructions here.

Whether you connect your computer to the CTS network wired or wireless, you must fill out the Computer Setup Request Form at the IT office to have your computer added to the campus network. You will be required to purchase a one year renewable license for Corporate Norton Anti-virus at the cost of $20.00 per year. If necessary, you may also purchase a 20’ cable for your room hookup at the cost of $10.00.

For any questions concerning phones, the Internet, E-mail and computers usage and availability, please contact the Information Technology Office (W-14) or at ext. 3178.

Non-CTS Resident Students
If you are not enrolled at Concordia Theological Seminary or Concordia University, but are residing on campus, you will not be issued a seminary account but may request to have your computer configured and your resident hall room activated for Internet access. As a prerequisite, you will be required to have a known anti-virus application (such as Norton or McAfee) on your computer, and be able to show that it is configured to perform regular updates. You can come to the Information Technology office and fill out the Non-CTS Computer Setup Request Form. You will be charged $15 for this service.

For any questions concerning phones, the Internet, E-mail and computers usage and availability, please contact the Information Technology Office (W-14) or at ext. 3178.
