The Library's Children and Family Corner

It's not just for children and families

We have mentioned the Library's Children and Family Corner (in the northwest corner of the main floor of the library, near the chapel) in our newsletter before. We want to focus on it again, because you will find very few other seminary libraries with something like it.

In this corner of the library, we offer many books, videos, and periodicals for the family — books that can be read by your children or with them, videos that can be viewed by the whole family. Our weekly story time in the corner gives pre-school-age children an opportunity to hear our librarians read stories.

But don't think that this area of the library does not apply to you if you are a single seminary student. Single or married, you will be working with people of all ages in the parish, from the cradle to the grave, single and married. The next column presents some of the many resources you can find in Walther Library's Children and Family Corner
