Access to eBooks via the Internet: netLibrary

WITH NETLIBRARY, YOU CAN ACCESS A NUMBER OF PRINT RESOURCES MADE AVAILABLE ON THE WEB

Students at Concordia Theological Seminary have a new way of accessing information via the Internet. Walther Library offers a collection of 700 eBooks (electronic books) from netLibrary, the leading provider of eBooks and Internet-based content management services. eBooks are full-text electronic versions of published books that library patrons can search, borrow, read, and return over the Internet. eBooks are available now from Walther Library via its home page (http://www.ctsfw.edu/library/).

Walther Library has worked with other Indiana academic libraries to provide you access to this collection. The cooperative purchase allows students at any of the libraries to use the books at netLibrary. In addition to the collection of copyrighted eBooks available through the cooperative purchase, students have access to more than 4,000 public domain eBooks. Finally, while reading any of the eBooks, you can look up words in Houghton Mifflin’s 4th Edition of The American Heritage Dictionary of the English Language, providing you definition or pronunciation.

In order to use netLibrary, you must first register a user name and password from a computer on the seminary network. (We recommend the same name and password you use with the seminary.) Once you have registered, you can access netLibrary from any computer, whether at the seminary or at home.
