STUDENTS MAY BUY COMPUTERS AT SPECIAL PRICES
American Computer Service Inc., the local
firm through which the seminary is purchasing its new computers, is offering
models to students at the same discounted prices as the seminary. A notebook,
the Compaq Armada 7400, is available for $3100 (a savings of about $1000).
This model has a Pentium II 266 MHz processor, 4 GB hard drive, 64 MB RAM,
and a 13? screen. Other models are available down to $2000.
A desktop workstation, custom built by American
Computer Service, has a Pentium II 350 MHz processor, 64 MB RAM, 4 GB
hard drive, and 32x CD-ROM packaged in a mini-tower. This computer, complete
with a 15? flat monitor, 4 MB Diamond Stealth video card, Sound Blaster
32-bit card, and 200-watt speakers, is available for $1800 (a savings of
about $400). This model can be built to specs (with a slower processor)
for prices down to $1000.
All these prices include Microsoft Office
97 Pro, your choice of Windows 95/98 or NT, a surge suppressor, a three-year
warranty, and your choice of modem or 10/100 3Com Wakeup NIC card. For
