Pilgrimage
Marsha Zimmerman, CTS Relocation Coordinator If you have considered attending the seminary to train for full-time ministry, you have undoubtedly experienced a sudden rush of seemingly endless questions. Can I afford this? When will I be able to start? Where will I live? Will I find employment? Who will care for the children? The list goes on and on. The closer you come to enrolling, the more intense your need for answers. While you are filled with so much excitement, so much desire to serve the Lord, there is also so much anxiety about the future. Prior to enrolling each student has experienced a different walk in life; therefore each student comes with his own unique set of questions. Most of the concerns focus on housing, finances, employment, curriculum, etc. God desires His future workers to be responsible and to be good stewards. While looking to Him for guidance and strength, God expects us to prepare, to analyze, to plan, and to make arrangements while we trust in Him to provide for all of our needs. We will be hosting our Spring Invitational Campus Visit March 22- March 24, 2007. This is a wonderful time to experience the campus, meet the professors, attend classes, hear about financial aid, health insurance, and the curriculum. While on campus you will be given the opportunity to meet others just like yourself who are also considering serving the Lord full time. Sharing each other’s hopes and concerns while acknowledging how the Lord has led you to this time and place is a very special part of the visit. It is a time to stop and prayerfully consider God’s plan for you. While here you will become educated about the realities associated with earning a degree from the seminary. The Admission staff is ready and willing to answer your questions. Jotting down items of concern prior to coming will assure you that nothing is forgotten. You may call or e-mail me with your inquiries. While you are here I would like to visit with you personally. If you are in need of housing, please prepare a basic outline of your needs. Consider the number of vehicles you will have, pets, how close you desire to be to the campus, Lutheran schools, etc. Will you be renting or purchasing a home? The more information you share with the counselors and me prior to your visit, the more profitable your visit will be. Pre-planning visits to Lutheran schools or apartments will also allow you to make the best use of your time here. An information fair with persons from various companies, banks, and schools will also be a part of the scheduled events. We are looking forward to having you as our guests the fourth weekend of March. Please use the application in this mailing or call us at 1-800-481-2155 to make reservations for this special visit.
