Prayerfully Consider Visit
October 21-23, 2010
Dear Friend in Christ,
Concordia Theological Seminary is a community that believes, teaches, and confesses the saving power of baptismal water, proclaims the Gospel, and receives the gifts of the Lord’s body and blood. It is through these means of grace that our community finds its life. It is here were we are formed as servants in Jesus Christ who will teach the faithful, reach the lost, and care for all.
Students are grounded in the Word and Sacraments as we study to become pastors and deaconesses. Our faculty is recognized worldwide for its outstanding academic and pastoral contribution to the church. These theologians shape us both inside the classrooms and out. What we learn in the classroom we experience in the chapel. We are rooted in the Word and Sacraments daily as we gather around font, pulpit, and altar, praying the church’s liturgy. By continually receiving the life-giving Gospel of Christ, we are empowered to live by faith as we prepare to serve the church and proclaim Christ to all the nations.
Is it time for you to dedicate your life to service in the church— to the proclamation of the Gospel through Christ’s Word and Sacraments? Is it time for you to step forth by faith and join us? Prayerfully consider becoming a pastor. Prayerfully consider becoming a deaconess. Prayerfully consider Concordia Theological Seminary.
Yours in Christ’s Peace,
Rev. Thomas P. Zimmerman
