CTS Announces Placements and Assignments for Vicars, Deaconess Interns and Pastoral Candidates
FORT WAYNE, Ind. (CTS)—A few raindrops couldn’t dampen the spirits of family and friends gathered for the assignment and placement services at Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne, Indiana, this week. Those in Kramer Chapel, along with those viewing via the Internet, watched as vicars, deaconess interns and candidates received their assignments to congregations and institutions throughout the U.S. and around the world. The list of all announced placements and assignments can be found at www.ctsfw.edu/Placements. Archived video of the Vicarage and Deaconess Internship Assignment Service (April 29) can be found here, and from the Candidate Placement Service (April 30) here.
“The events of this week underscore what a blessing it is to be part of a community with the mission to form servants in Jesus Christ who teach the faithful, reach the lost and care for all,” commented the Rev. Dr. Lawrence R. Rast Jr., CTS president. “Each one of our students has been uniquely gifted by God for service in His church. They have been equipped through rigorous academic instruction, strengthened through the worship life in Kramer Chapel and supported by family, friends and the entire seminary community for that service. It is our great joy to commit them to this service and we pray for God's continued blessing and guidance for them as they go forth in Christ's mission.”
We look forward to the Deaconess Placement Service on May 22 at 10:00 a.m. in Kramer Chapel. On May 23 we will celebrate the close of the academic year with Baccalaureate at 10:00 a.m. and Commencement Ceremonies at 6:00 p.m., both in Kramer Chapel (all times are Eastern Daylight Time). Those who cannot be on campus for these services can watch live by going to www.ctsfw.edu and clicking on the Watch Live! link.
