FORT WAYNE, Ind. (CTSFW)—Registration for the annual Symposia Series at Concordia Theological Seminary (CTSFW), Fort Wayne, has opened. The full conference series takes place January 15–18, 2019, and is broken down into two symposiums: the 34th Annual Symposium on Exegetical Theology from January 15–16, and the 42nd Annual Symposium on the Lutheran Confessions, January 16–18.

The Exegetical Symposium on “Soaring like an Eagle: Themes in the Gospel of John” will cover topics like the Christology of the Gospel of John, reading John in a synoptic light, and themes and motifs in this book. If you are interested in contributing a paper to the exegetical paper sectionals, email a one paragraph abstract to Jacob.Benson@ctsfw.edu by December 1.

The Confessional Symposium on “The Leipzig Debate: The Meaning of Biblical Authority” will include such lectures as the ecclesiological significance of the Leipzig Debate, a Catholic defense of authority, Law and Gospel in Reformation preaching, and scriptural authority. The full Symposia Series also includes chapel services, Vespers with special music all three nights, a King’s Men Alumni game between current and former students, and the annual banquet.
