2024 April — “Peace I leave with you”

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid” (John 14:27).

In the midst of change and uncertainty, we draw comfort from God’s unchanging promises. We are confident in God’s love toward us, as evidenced by the empty tomb that once held the body of Jesus, and we draw peace from the declaration of the apostles and the saints through the ages that “He is risen!” What comfort this sweet sentence gives!

Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne (CTSFW), is committed to forming servants in Jesus Christ who teach the faithful about the exceedingly great love that God has shown us, reach the lost with the good news of the death and resurrection of Jesus, and care for all by sharing the peace of God through the knowledge of salvation that is found only in Christ.
