Installation of Ordained Staff

Dear Friends in Christ,

The Rev. Daniel Burfiend and the Rev. Matthew Montgomery, who recently joined our Advancement team, will be installed during the morning chapel service in Kramer Chapel Monday, December 11. The Rev. Dr. D. Richard Stuckwisch, LCMS Indiana District President, will preside at the installation.

Rev. Burfiend is a graduate of Hillsdale College with a BA in history. He served at Hillsdale for three years as an advancement officer before enrolling at CTSFW, where he earned his MDiv (2015) and STM (2016). He served as pastor of New Hope Lutheran Church in Ossian, Indiana, prior to his call to the Seminary. He and his wife, Roseli, have six children.

Rev. Montgomery is a 2015 MDiv graduate of CTSFW. Prior to being called to the Seminary, Rev. Montgomery served as pastor of St. John Lutheran Church in Onarga, Illinois, and St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sadorus, Illinois. Before attending CTSFW, he worked fourteen years for non-profit organizations, including the American Cancer Society, as a fundraiser, trainer, and executive director. He and his wife, Dawn, have two grown children.
