Laypeople and church workers welcome at both events

Coming in November: Luther Hostel and the Good Shepherd Institute Conference

Join us this November for two events designed for both laity and church workers. Luther Hostel and the Good Shepherd Institute Conference are opportunities to learn alongside others interested in theology and worship.

Luther Hostel
What Is a Confessional Lutheran?

This year’s Luther Hostel is November 5–7, 2025, and centers on the theme “What Is a Confessional Lutheran?” Luther Hostel is an opportunity to attend presentations and classes taught by CTSFW professors, worship in Kramer Chapel, interact with students, and explore our beautiful campus.

“Luther Hostel is like a three-day spa for our souls, immersing us in faithful Lutheran doctrine and practice,” say 2024 Luther Hostel attendees Mark and Jean Engebritson from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. “Just spending a few days on campus revives us spiritually and gives us hope for the future.”

Good Shepherd Institute Conference
Skillful and Discerning: Cultivating Our Callings

The Good Shepherd Institute Conference is intended to be informative, edifying, and practical. All of us who serve the church, whether pastors, musicians, architects, artists, and other members of the body of Christ, continue to learn how to serve God well. How can we do our work better? How can we hone our skills? The plenary sessions and sectionals have something for everyone.

Each evening of the Good Shepherd Institute Conference features special music and worship services, including an organ recital, All Saints Choral Vespers, and a hymn festival at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in downtown Fort Wayne. Information about these events can be found below:
