Lands of Luther Tour July 9–19

Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne (CTSFW), invites you to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Christ Academy with a special “Lands of Luther Tour” July 9–19, 2024. The trip to Germany, open to Christ Academy alumni, supporters, and anyone else interested, offers a unique opportunity to honor the program’s heritage and its future. The Rev. Matthew Wietfeldt, Assistant Vice President of Admission and Christ Academy Director, and Dr. Todd Peperkorn, Assistant Professor of Pastoral Ministry and Mission and Director of Vicarage, will co-host the tour, promising an enriching journey through Lutheran history and the scenic beauty of Germany.

Participants will explore key Reformation sites, including Wittenberg, Erfurt, the Wartburg Castle, Eisleben, and more, alongside visits to Dresden and Leipzig for cultural enrichment. This tour not only commemorates Christ Academy’s impact but also serves as a profound educational experience in Lutheran heritage.

About the Tour Hosts

Rev. Matthew Wietfeldt, Assistant Vice President of Admission and Christ Academy Director at CTSFW, has significantly expanded Christ Academy’s reach and impact, emphasizing confessional catechesis, liturgical worship, and Lutheran community in all Christ Academy programs. Wietfeldt regularly shares his expertise in vocational discernment programs with church workers, conference attendees, and youth throughout the country.

Dr. Todd A. Peperkorn, Assistant Professor of Pastoral Ministry and Mission and Director of Vicarage, has a wealth of experience in pastoral ministry and a deep commitment to Lutheran education and mission. Prior to joining the faculty of CTSFW, he served as pastor of Messiah Lutheran Church in Kenosha, Wisconsin, and senior pastor of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Rocklin, California.
