Symposia is only 2 weeks away and seats are getting snapped up!

A poignant subject for this day and age, the 37th Annual Symposium on Exegetical Theology will explore “Male and Female He Created them: Recovering a Theology of the Body,” January 18 and 19.

It’s hard to believe that at one time the notion of translating Scripture into a language that everyone could read was considered radical. The 45th Annual Symposium on the Lutheran Confessions—January 19, 20, and 21—celebrates and examines this important moment in Reformation history: “500th Anniversary of Luther’s Translation of the New Testament: Taking a Look at the Scriptures.”

Come a day early to soak up some fresh insights for this upcoming Lenten season. Join Dr. Todd A. Peperkorn on January 17 at 8:00 a.m. for our annual Lenten Preaching Workshop. This year’s theme is “Shadows of the Cross,” in which Peperkorn will trace the cross and atonement through the Old Testament, (particularly some of the major narratives, such as the sacrifice of Isaac and the bronze serpent) and the importance of the depiction of our Lord’s body (corpus) in art and imagery.
