Applicants include: 1) those who have battled cancer at any point in their lives (not limited to mesothelioma); 2) those who have a parent, sibling, immediate family member, or close friend who has battled or is battling cancer. Scholarship application requirements: 1) must be enrolled full-time at an accredited two-year or four-year university, community college, junior college, or a graduate degree program; 2) this scholarship is offered nationwide to United States citizens; 3) students must be in academic “good standing” and have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 or higher to be eligible. The award amount is $4,000 to a student who has dealt with cancer, personally or within their family, in an effort to help them further their education. Deadlines occur twice a year in March and December.
