Biography
Deaconess Rosie Adle began her work at Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne (CTSFW), in 2007 and currently serves as the Associate Director of Deaconess Formation. Following a move and some family leave, she began working in a deployed capacity as an online instructor in 2010. Working remotely, she supports the deaconess formation program and continues to teach online courses for distance deaconess students.
She graduated from Valparaiso University, Valparaiso, in 2003 with a BA in Spanish. She earned an MA (2006) in deaconess studies and systematic theology from Concordia Seminary, St. Louis (CSL). Her deaconess internship was in Caracas, Venezuela. Prior to her work with CTSFW, she directed programs for women at the Center for Hispanic Studies on the campus of CSL (2006–2007).
Adle and her sister co-wrote Ladylike: Living Biblically (Concordia Publishing House, 2015). She has contributed to other writing projects for CPH, LCMS Communications, and The Lutheran Witness in years past. She also wrote Christian Life for Christian Women (Lutherans for Life, 2020). She enjoys giving presentations and leading retreats for women and has done so in many different districts.
She and her husband, Rev. Scott Adle of Zion Lutheran in Imperial, Nebraska, have six children who fill the parsonage with joy and loudness. At church, Rosie loves being part of LWML, the Zion care team, Sunday School, VBS, and many other activities.
