Biography
Michael W. Salemink (b. 1978) married Heather in 2000; they have three sons—Christian (12), Nathan (9), and Luke (7)—and reside in St. Louis, Missouri, where they are members of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Olivette. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Theology (with proficiency in theological languages) from Concordia University Chicago in May 1999 and a Master of Divinity from Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne, in May 2003. He is currently completing doctoral studies at Concordia Seminary, St. Louis.
Salemink served as pastor of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Webster, Minnesota (2003–2005), and as associate pastor of St. James Lutheran Church and School, Lafayette, Indiana (2005–2015). He was executive director of Lutherans For Life from January 2016 until May 2025, during which he produced numerous articles, devotions, Bible studies, sermons, podcasts, and vlogs on life-issues theology and pastoral care. In May 2025, Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne, appointed him as Assistant Professor of Pastoral Ministry and Missions.
