For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
~Isaiah 9:6
Seeking peace is a noble pursuit. We all want peace in our home, our workplace, and our community. We long for harmony with our siblings, parents, and children. We desire peace in the grocery store, in the halls of government, among neighbors, and between nations.
While world peace may be desirable, of far greater importance is having peace with God.
As you reflect on the joys of the Christmas season, we invite you to offer prayers of thanksgiving for the lifesaving ministry of the Wonderful Counselor, Jesus Christ. Through His atoning sacrifice we have peace with God and a hopeful expectation of reunion in the world to come.
At Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne (CTSFW), our faculty places the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus, the Prince of Peace, at the forefront of our students’ formation process. As servants of the Everlasting Father, we proclaim the “Child who was born” to bring heavenly peace.
Thank you for your prayers and gifts to CTSFW. By supporting the formation of future church workers, you participate in bringing the Good News to all the nations.
May the God of all peace bless you this Christmas and throughout the coming year.
