Good Shepherd Institute Conference

“Our Living Heritage”

November 8–10, 2026

The church never practices its confession in isolation; in every age, she remembers the forebears of previous generations. The 2026 Good Shepherd Institute will gather under the theme “Our Living Heritage,” giving thanks for—and learning from—those who continue to inform the church and her practice.

This year’s conference pays tribute to figures including Walter Buszin, Norman Nagel, and Kenneth Korby, along with nineteenth- and twentieth-century LCMS church musicians who raised the bar for parish music and music education.

Worship and Music in Kramer Chapel

The conference will be accompanied by worship and musical treasures old and new in Kramer Chapel, featuring its new windows.

Conference programming will include the annual GSI Organ Recital, choral worship, and a special hymn festival.

Registration Coming Soon

Registration and additional conference information will be available in August.
