Good Shepherd Institute Conference
“Our Living Heritage”
November 8–10, 2026
The Good Shepherd Institute Conference takes place November 8–10 under the theme: “Our Living Heritage.” The church never practices its confession in isolation; in every age, she remembers the forbears of previous generations. This year’s conference gives thanks for and learns from those who continue to inform the church and her practice, including Walter Buszin, Norman Nagel, Kenneth Korby, and other 19th- and 20th-century LCMS church musicians who raised the bar for parish music and music education.
One additional special highlight: The new windows in Kramer Chapel will be dedicated at the 10 a.m. chapel service on Monday, November 9, giving you one more reason to attend GSI this year.
Each evening of the Good Shepherd Institute conference features special music and worship services, including an organ recital, Choral Vespers, and a hymn festival.
