Old Testament
This 10-week online pre-seminary class emphasizes the major events and figures of the 39 books of the Old Testament and follows fall, winter, and spring quarter end dates. The course awards three pre-seminary quarter-hour credits. Plan for nine hours per week; course is graded satisfactory/unsatisfactory and fulfills the pre-seminary Old Testament Bible requirement for matriculation into seminary. Admission is not required for enrollment, but a “Special Student Application” must be completed.
- Asynchronous lessons with class discussions.
- Weekly quizzes to assess biblical content literacy.
- Three formal, online tests.
- Lesson plan for a Bible study on a book of the Old Testament.
- Self-paced within course windows; expect nine hours weekly.
- Three quarter hours.
- S/U grading. Must be completed within four years prior to matriculation into the MDiv or Alternate Route.
- May be transferable to an undergraduate program (confirm with receiving institution).
- Literate in the background and details of the Old Testament.
- Articulate in describing the salvation history detailed in the Old Testament.
- Certain that the Bible is God’s inerrant word.
- $495 per credit hour.
- $85 Campus Use Fee per course.
- $12 registration fee.
- To enroll before admission to seminary, submit the Special Student Application, the Pre-Seminary Bible Course Registration Form, and $35 application fee.
