Care for All
CTSFW cares about the health and safety of students and their families while they are at the Seminary, and as they go into full-time church work. Our healthcare resources and programs facilitate student wellbeing while at the Seminary and beyond.
Pastoral Care
We understand that education, like all aspects of life, often involves trials and challenges. Students’ mentors, the Dean of Students, and other faculty members intentionally assist students in managing these trials and preparing personally, spiritually, professionally, and academically for life after seminary. If professional counseling would be helpful, mentors or the Dean of Students can help connect students to a counselor outside of the Seminary community.
CTSFW is conveniently located near hospitals and urgent care centers for quick access to necessary care.

All residential seminary students enrolled in at least seven credit hours; international students; and those participating in a foreign exchange program, internship, or vicarage must enroll in the Concordia Health Plan (CHP) unless they qualify as eligible opt-outs according to CHP guidelines.
CHP covers eight mental health appointments per year at no charge, if needed.
CTSFW’s athletics program provides valuable resources and facilities to our community, including intramural teams for students. Learn more on the Athletics page.
Our campus has many walking trails, and is near the Fort Wayne Rivergreenway and other public trails. Fort Wayne offers many opportunities to stay active, such as Fort4Fitness races, kayak ramps, and biking trails.
Public Safety
Our Public Safety team monitors parking and campus traffic regulations, distributes room keys, keeps dorm buildings secure, welcomes visitors to campus, and works with emergency personnel when necessary. All of our public safety officers are trained in adult and child CPR and are AED certified. The Public Safety Office is open 24 hours a day.
