CTSFW Deaconess Interns, Vicars and Candidates Receive Placements

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (CTSFW)—New vicars, deaconess interns and pastors will soon be serving in congregations and institutions all across the United States. Assignments and placements for students from Concordia Theological Seminary (CTSFW), Fort Wayne, Indiana, were announced during services on April 26 and April 27. The list of all assignments and placements and archived video of the services can be found at callday.ctsfw.edu.

“How appropriate it is to welcome these new workers into our midst in the same week that we celebrate the 169th anniversary of our Synod’s founding,” commented CTSFW President Dr. Lawrence R. Rast Jr. “The need for church workers is just as great now as it was in 1847 and we at Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne, are proud to prepare gifted vicars, deaconess interns and pastors who will teach the faithful, reach the lost and care for all. Each one has been formed by an incredible faculty and mentored by dedicated pastors and deaconesses, giving them the foundation they need to take this next step in service to Christ and His people.”

Again this year, there are more congregations requesting new workers than students available to fill those calls and assignments. It is our hope that more men and women will prayerfully consider full time service to the church as a pastor or deaconess so that no calls go unfilled. For information on becoming a pastor or deaconess go towww.ctsfw.edu/Admission or phone 800-481-2155.
