Principles of Biblical Interpretation for Everyone

September 27, 2022-September 29, 2022

In this CE event, Dr. Voelz will be discussing principles of Biblical interpretation at a level that is suitable for a parish setting. The basis of his presentation will be a draft of his latest book, Principles of Biblical Interpretation for Everyone, which will be published within a year. Both pastors and laypeople are invited to attend, to discuss everything from the manuscripts used for our translations, to the kinds of grammatical and literary issues interpreters of the Bible face, to the most fundamental and basic themes of the Old and New Testaments, to the role of the Holy Spirit in interpretation, to a description and evaluation of the English translations that we find in general use—and very much more. Come and explore God’s Word!
