Event Information
The Kantorei is an auditioned choir of students at CTSFW that leads the church’s song. During the Reformation era, the Kantorei was the name of a choir of students that led the singing of hymns and liturgy in churches, and the Seminary Kantorei continues that tradition. Set within the church’s liturgy of Evening Prayer, where the congregation sings hymns and canticles and God’s Word is read and preached, the Kantorei sings music of the Lenten season that underscores the Scripture readings and helps us meditate on God’s Word.
