The Music and Chapel department in combination with the CTSFW annual Symposia series is pleased to invite all to attend a Vespers & Organ Recital at Kramer Chapel on the campus of CTSFW, January 19 at 4:30 p.m. This event will be live-streamed for those that cannot join in person but would like to participate online.
CTSFW will be joined by Dr. Timothy Shewmaker, Cantor, from Our Redeemer Lutheran Church and School in Dallas, Texas. As part of the evening worship, Dr. Shewmaker will perform:
- Prelude in D Major (BWV 532) by Johann Sebastian Bach
- Variations on Wie schön leuchtet (LSB 395) by Tim Shewmaker
- To Jordan Came the Christ, Our Lord (BWV 684) by Johann Sebastian Bach
- Windows of Comfort by Dan Locklair
- Fugue in E Minor (BWV 548) by Johann Sebastian Bach
- The Only Son from Heaven (LSB 402) by Johann Sebastian Bach
- Deo Gracias (LSB 544) byCraig Phillips
This event is free and open to the public as part of the CTSFW annual Symposia series. Please note that you do not need to attend Symposia to enjoy this musical opportunity. We welcome your attendance and hope to see you in Kramer Chapel on January 19.

About Dr. Timothy Shewmaker
Dr. Timothy Shewmaker, Cantor, has led the music at Our Redeemer since 2011. He directs all music ensembles, plays the organ, and teaches elementary music at Our Redeemer Lutheran School.
As a concert organist, he has appeared on the Bachstravaganza program with TCU and the Fort Worth Orchestra and was a solo performer at the 2015 regional conference of the American Guild of Organists in Fort Worth. In 2012, he took first prize and the prize for hymn playing excellence at the William C. Hall Organ Competition in San Antonio.
Timothy’s organ preludes are included in the Concordia Hymn Prelude Series from Concordia Publishing House. He enjoys writing original settings of psalms and hymns for worship.
