The decision to study for the Office of the Holy Ministry is not one that is made in isolation. Undoubtedly, you have been in prayer and conversation with your loved ones regarding this decision. It is especially essential for you to have the support of your wife or finacée. As a family, you will go through many transitions during your time in Seminary and in your service to the Church after ordination. Checking the box below affirms that you have discussed your decision with your wife or fiancée and that she is supportive.

Applicants who do not already possess a master's degree and whose final cumulative grade point average (GPA) is below 2.75 are required to complete the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) General Test and have the scores forwarded to the Seminary for consideration as part of their application for admission.
When you take the GRE please insert the school code 1141 so test results can be sent directly to CTSFW.
If English is not your first language, the TOEFL is required. Please have your scores sent directly to CTSFW.
If you currently are or have attended a Concordia University System school in the last five years, you must request that the president of your institution send a letter of recommendation to the Admission Office Admission@ctsfw.edu).
Please provide the name and contact information for each of your references. Both phone number and email address are preferred. Once we have the contact information, we will send instructions to each of them on how to submit their reference.

Please note: If your consumer debt exceeds $20,000, we will refer you, after you have been accepted, to a financial counselor with Concordia Plan Services who works with our students at CTSFW. The goal of this process is to help you to become as financially secure as possible before beginning your studies.
