A Christian Community
Life happens in community, and nowhere is this more true than in the Christian Church. Whether it’s eating with professors in the dining hall, enjoying a drink with your brothers and sisters at Gemütlichkeit, communing together in Kramer Chapel or shopping together in the Co-op, your entire experience at CTSFW is about community. From the moment you set foot on campus for your first visit until the day you graduate and leave us to serve Christ’s Church, you’re a part of our family.
The faculty, staff and students at CTSFW care for one another in joy and in sorrow. By serving your brothers and sisters and learning to be cared for, you will learn the care you will embody for your congregation. Our faith is always lived out in the context of community, and at CTSFW you become a part of a community for the rest of your life.
“So it happened that while I slept or while I drank a glass of Wittenberg beer with my friend Philip [Melanchthon] and with Amsdorf, the papacy was weakened as it never was before by the action of any prince or emperor.”
“Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.”
Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.”
