June 16-29, 2019
Timothy School is a two-week summer conference for high school men interested in theology, liturgical worship and fun. It’s also a great opportunity to explore the Office of Holy Ministry, for those who have considered or been encouraged to consider a future vocation as a pastor. You’ll join the Fort Wayne Seminary community while you’re here, living on campus and worshiping together with seminarians, professors, staff and other guests in Kramer Chapel. Classes are taught by the world-class theologians that make up our faculty, giving participants a firsthand opportunity to experience what a pastor learns, and how he is formed in the Seminary environment.
Outside of the classroom you’ll go to a TinCaps baseball game, play games like Capture the Flag and spend time with your fellow Lutheran brothers. The friendships built here are lifelong, formed and built on the joy that comes of a summer retreat focused on the person and work of Jesus Christ.
2019 marks the 20th year for Christ Academy. In two decades many of those high school students have become men called by God to the vocation of pastor. And that’s only 20 years, built on the thousands before it. In the beginning was the Word, who established the Office of Holy Ministry to serve God’s people and to shepherd His flock. So come, and begin to learn what it is to be a shepherd. Come, and join the tradition!
Many questions can arise when your son or daughter is considering service to the Church. How will they enjoy or be able to handle the studies? Is this really what they are being called to do? How does the whole education outlook fit my child and our family? These questions along with countless others will be answered at our Christ Academy events. If your son or daughter is interested in the pastoral ministry, deaconess studies, worship or theology please consider these very helpful events on our beautiful campus. If you have any questions contact us anytime.
Time and time again new students list their own home pastors as their primary influence in entering pastoral ministry. The Seminary could not exist without your support of the men you send here for pastoral formation and the women you send for deaconess training. Our Christ Academy programs are set up to walk side by side with you in assisting those in your flock who seek to discern how they are called to serve in Christ’s Church. Please do not hesitate to contact us with questions about the Seminary or our Christ Academy programs. Our prayer is that God would continue to bless our continued efforts in bringing workers into His harvest field.
