CTSFW offers five graduate degree programs in addition to its pastoral and diaconal formation programs. These programs are designed to strengthen a student’s knowledge and understanding of confessional Lutheran theology through expert academic instruction, research and reflection, and focused fields of study.

At the master’s level, CTSFW offers a Master of Arts (MA) and a Master of Sacred Theology (STM). The MA is ideal for students who are interested in advanced study of theology but are not pursuing pastoral ministry. The STM is designed for students who want to continue their study of theology after the MDiv.

CTSFW also has three doctoral programs. The Doctor of Ministry (DMin), designed for experienced pastors, has an applied, practical focus, while the Doctor of Philosophy in Missiology (PhD-MIss) and Doctor of Philosophy in Theological Studies (PhD-TS) are research programs that prepare students for theological leadership in academia or the field.
