About Rev. Dr. Timothy R. Puls

The Rev. Dr. Timothy Puls has served Concordia Theological Seminary (CTSFW), Fort Wayne, since 1997. He was dean of Students 11 years and assistant vice president of Church Relations four years before assuming his present role as an Advancement officer in 2011. Prior to serving CTSFW, he was a pastor in two congregations in Colorado for over eight years. He enjoys visiting with CTSFW alumni, serves as a Christian Development Executive and assists donors with planned giving as a Stewardship Associate of the LCMS Foundation. Puls completed a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Humanities from Concordia University Irvine in 1985, a Master of Divinity (M.Div.) in 1989 and a Master of Sacred Theology (S.T.M.) in 2000, both at CTSFW. His Doctorate of Education in Organizational Leadership (Ed.D.) was earned at Indiana Wesleyan University, Marion, Indiana, in 2011. He was a member of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod’s (LCMS) Commission of Ministerial Growth and Support from 2004-2010 and a board member for Grace Place Lutheran Wellness Ministries from 2002-2012. He and his wife, Beth, have four sons, Christian (also a daughter-in-law, Abby), Jacob, Asher and Micah.
