Student Care Thank You Letters

Thank You for Supporting the Student Care Fund

On behalf of not only the students you have helped, but all of CTSFW: thank you! We could not form servants in Christ if there weren’t so many servants in the Church already, willing to support these students not only in their studies but in the cares of their daily lives. Below are thank you letters from the students themselves, with short summaries on who they are and what your gifts have given to them. To read each student’s thank you letter, simply click on their summary.
For those of you who are on this page and looking for a way to get involved, you can click on one of the two following giving options for the Student Care Fund:
Jordan Schaller

2018 Fall Quarter Recipient

Jordan Schaller just began his final year of Seminary. He and his wife recently welcomed their third child into the home–a son, to join their two daughters. Your care for Jordan and his family continue to make Seminary possible.

Terrell Davis

2018 Fall Quarter Recipient

Terrell Davis Sr. is a second-career student in his first year. He and his wife, Anjetta, moved to Fort Wayne to make it possible for him to study to become a pastor. Though he does not go into the details of the unexpected expense, his gratitude for the gift (“that seemingly was dropped from Heaven itself” as he put it) is clear.

Raymond Hulett

2018 Summer Quarter Recipient

Ray Hulett began his second year of Seminary just this fall. He and his wife are adult converts to Lutheranism, “drawn,” as he writes, “by the irresistibility of that chief
article of faith that we confess: That for the sake of Christ alone we are truly forgiven of all our sins through faith alone by the grace of God alone.” He was drawn to the vocation of pastor upon the loss of his brother to leukemia in 2015. Your donations have released some of his financial burden and continues to make his journey to the Office of the Holy Ministry possible.

Kaitlin Sheridan

2018 Spring Quarter Recipient

Having completed two years of deaconess classes, Kaitlin is headed to her intern assignment at Ephphatha Lutheran Mission Society in Hartland, Michigan, alongside her husband, a second year seminarian about to begin his year of vicarage at Trinity Lutheran Church and School in Reese, Michigan.

As an aside, you may notice that her last name here (Sheridan) is different than the name she uses in her letter (Jandereski). This is because she married Timothy Sheridan at the beginning of June, after this letter had been written.
