FALL CONFERENCES

What in Heaven Is Going On? Christ and the Angels in the Book of Revelation
September 28–29
This new Good Shepherd Fall Retreat will coincide with the festival of St. Michael and All Angels, which will be observed with a special choral Vespers service in Kramer Chapel. The weekend will also mark the opening of a new art exhibit in the Wayne and Barbara Kroemer Library, titled “With Angels and Archangels.”

Christ Academy: Confirmation Retreat
October 4–6

Prayerfully Consider Visit
October 10–12
Prospective student campus visit event for men and women in college or older, interested in learning more about becoming a pastor or deaconess. Registration is free and includes both room and board. Spouses and fiancés/fiancées welcome.

October 25–27
Free event for prospective students still in college, who are interested in learning more about the vocations of pastor or deaconess. Room and board provided on campus, and spouses as well as fiancés/fiancées are welcome.

Genesis: The Original vs. Revelation: The New Creation
November 6–8
Luther Hostel is a seminary retreat for both laity and church workers, to learn and gather for worship and fellowship on the campus of CTSFW. Lectures this year will focus on Genesis vs. Revelation, or creation and the new creation.

Good Shepherd Institute
November 10–12
The annual GSI conference focuses on pastoral theology and sacred music, with main presentations intersected with your choice of sectionals. Special services of music are also a major part of the GSI experience.
Cost: $130 for first registration and $90 for every additional ticket from the same congregation or family; $75 for Monday-only registration, plus $40 for a banquet ticket.

Advent Preaching Workshop
November 12, 1:30–8:30 p.m.
Sermons for the three midweek services in Advent will examine each of the articles of the Apostles’ Creed through the lens of the central themes of the season.
