The registration deadline for the musician workshops offered at CTSFW is June 8. Participants may choose from the following:
Basic Level Organists and Service Playing for Pianists
This workshop covers the basics for those organists who have had very little or no training on how the instrument works, including how to choose registrations and how to play pedals with both feet. Both pianists and organists will learn how to lead the congregational singing of hymns and liturgy through effective playing.
Intermediate & Advanced Level Organists
This workshop is designed for organists who have already learned the basics but want to improve their skills. Instructors will cover creative hymn introductions, making informed choices about organ repertoire and strategies for leading challenging hymns. Instruction at this level is customized to the ability of each student.
Church Interpreter Training Institute
For interpreters, church members and professional church workers who desire to reach out to the deaf community, the CITI Program will hold classes at CTSFW from June 28–July 1, which costs $350 for non-commuter (covering the cost of food and board), and $200 for commuters (which includes lunch only). The registration deadline is June 1.
