to full professor and hear his lecture on “Justification as the Article by Which the Church Stands or Falls (Articulus stantis et cadentis ecclesiae)—What Does This Mean?”
Lutherans since the Reformation have asserted that the article on justification has a special significance and importance among all the articles of faith. Theologians from Luther to the 21st century have asserted that this is the article by which the church stands or falls, that it is central to the other articles and is a criterion to evaluate theological statements. October 30–November 1
Free event for prospective students still in college, who are interested in learning more about the vocation of pastor or deaconess. Room and board provided on campus, and spouses as well as fiancés/fiancées are welcome.

Luther Hostel
November 4–6
Luther Hostel is an opportunity for laity as well as pastors and other church workers to retreat to the Seminary, gathering for worship, study, and fellowship on the campus of CTSFW. Lectures focus on various aspects of Lutheran theology, taking an in-depth, confessional look at a specific topic. In addition to attending classes taught by CTSFW professors, attendees are encouraged to take advantage of the daily worship opportunities at Kramer Chapel and take time to visit with current seminary students and faculty.

Good Shepherd Institute
November 8-10
Open to all, Good Shepherd Institute is an annual conference that focuses on pastoral theology and sacred music. Main talks alongside sectionals allow attendees the opportunity to customize their learning and experience. The first two evenings conclude with a special service of music, with regular daily chapel services and other recitals throughout the conference.
Cost: $130 for first registration; $90 for additional tickets; $75 for Monday-only registration; $30 banquet ticket

EARLY BIRD SAVINGS
Symposia 2021
January 19–22
The four-day Symposia Series is an annual event that explores exegetical theology and the Lutheran Confessions. Faculty and guest speakers from CTSFW and other theological institutions will lecture on topics related to the theme for each annual symposium.Early bird registration will be available through November 28, after which the price will increase to our regular registration fee of $180 through January 15. Late registrations (including walk-ins) will cost $195.
