Visit CTSFW to Prayerfully Consider a Future in Pastoral or Diakonal Service

CTSFW President Rast talks with prospective students.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (CTSFW)— Are you or anyone you know thinking seriously about becoming a pastor or deaconess? Beginning on Thursday morning, October 12, and ending at noon on Saturday, October 14, Concordia Theological Seminary (CTSFW), Fort Wayne, is hosting a Prayerfully Consider Visit for men and women considering a future in pastoral or diakonal ministry. Both college students and second-career candidates are welcome to this free, three-day event. Room and board in the dorms and dining hall are included as a part of the experience. Spouses, a vital part of the decision process, may join their husband or wife for the visit as they consider a future in the ministry.

Each day of the visit provides an in-depth look at the theological training and the day-to-day life of the Seminary. Visitors will attend classes, worship in Kramer Chapel and meet faculty, current students and their fellow brothers and sisters also considering these vocations. The weekend includes a walking tour of the campus, a driving tour of Fort Wayne, information about financial aid, housing and the Food & Clothing Co-op, and time with admission counselors to discuss the application process and any additional questions they may have. Perhaps most importantly, the Prayerfully Consider Visit offers encouragement as the Lord of the harvest answers His people’s prayers that He would send out laborers into His harvest.
